    Role Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with a strong background in Java to join our team in Chennai.

    The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on Guidewire applications and Java.

    This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Design, develop, and implement Guidewire-based solutions using Java.
    Customize and configure Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) to meet business requirements.
    Perform system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
    Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
    Identify and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
    Maintain and enhance existing applications by implementing new features and improving existing functionality.
    Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    5-8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Guidewire and Java.
    Proficiency in Guidewire configuration and integration, including GOSU scripting.
    Strong understanding of Guidewire architecture and data models.
    Experience with Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) is essential.
    Solid knowledge of Java and related technologies (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
    Experience with web services (SOAP/REST), XML, and JSON.
    Familiarity with database technologies, particularly SQL and Oracle.
    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Guidewire certification (e.g., Certified Guidewire Developer).
    Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
    Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, Angular, React) is a plus.
