A retail assistant or shop assistant is a retail industry professional responsible for serving customers, arranging merchandise and processing sales transactions.

These professionals restock shelves, maintain the sales floor, monitor the activities of people in the shop and also resolve customer issues.

The job of a retail assistant involves coming to work early, standing for long periods and operating cash registers. Because the job is a customer-facing role, retail assistants require excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Salary:
₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
