Service Owner - Cloud & Hosting Team

SKF is on journey, from traditional hosting to hybrid cloud and cloud.

SKF have multiple cloud platforms, for example Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, that SKF do own, develop and operate in-house.

SKF have a cloud first approach for many years and driving projects to migrate on-prem to cloud or hybrid-cloud. The cloud footprint is growing day by day. For operations of workloads, we have a multivendor approach, where a common operating model is in place.

The Cloud & Hosting team have several technical platforms, like cloud, hybrid cloud, classic and IBM platforms with different Platform Owners who own the technical services provided by these platforms.

The team have multiple vendors doing operations on different levels, these services is owned by this Service Owner role.

But the main challenge and role for Service Owner is to be close to the business, to the consumers of the services and understand their need and ensure that there are business services in place, that make it easy and quick to get Cloud & Hosting services, and that underneath utilize the Technical (Supporting) services that the platforms provide.

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a talented individual who is passionate about delivering hosting-based services and driving business outcomes.

Day to Day work and Responsibilities

Design and implement hostingbased services that meet the needs of the business
Ensure that all services are delivered with a focus on customer outcomes
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective hosting services
Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs) for all hosting services
Ensure that all hosting services are secure and meet regulatory requirements
Work with suppliers and other partners to ensure that services are delivered effectively

Requirements:

Strong understanding of hosting technologies, with experience in designing and delivering cloud & hosting services
Knowledge of service design and outcomebased service delivery
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team of technical specialists
Proven leadership skills
Strong sense of ownership
Ability to take initiatives and work independently
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, as well as best practices for security and compliance
Experience in defining and communicating service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs), preferably for hosting services.
Experience in managing budget and resources allocated to hosting services
Strong understanding of the different hosting technologies and platforms and how they can be used to support the organization's needs
Experience in identifying and mitigating risks to the hosting infrastructure
Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy
Strong understanding and experience with IBM Mainframe and Power systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud
Understanding of industry and regulatory compliance requirements
Risk management and mitigation skills
Familiarity with current trends and technologies in hosting
Budget and resource management experience
Comfortable and strong in network building and stakeholder management.

We expect you to have:

BSC or B Tech degree in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 14 years of experience working within the IT Infrastructure and IT Delivery management
Experience working in a Global IT environment with multiple vendors
Experience with Global IT Outsourcing and implementation
Understanding of Hosting, Cloud & Security Concepts and should be leading Cloud & Hosting Infrastructure team or similar space
Ability to constantly adapt, change and evolve
