Role and Responsibilities:

As the GM of New Project Construction, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects for our esteemed clients

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing the entire project construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
Collaborating with architects and designers to ensure design specifications and brand standards are met
Managing the permitting process and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
Creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring costeffectiveness
Monitoring construction progress, ensuring workmanship and materials meet quality standards
Selecting and managing contractors and vendors, overseeing their work and ensuring timely project completion
Regularly updating hotel management and stakeholders on project progress and any potential issues
Identifying and mitigating potential project risks to prevent delays and cost overruns
Handling changes in project scope, schedule, and costs effectively
Ensuring construction sites adhere to safety standards and regulations
Overseeing project completion and ensuring a smooth transition to hotel management

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (master's degree is a plus)
10+ years of experience as a construction project manager in the hotel industry or similar
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in project management software and tools
