TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR's Financial Crime Compliance team sits within the Compliance function.

The team is responsible for the establishment, maintenance and oversight of the financial crime framework, which includes anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption and sanctions.

***The role is lead the review, investigation and disposition of alerts generated through name screening. In addition, to the production of Management Information to test the efficacy and effectiveness of the program.

This is a full time role based onsite in the KKR Gurugram office.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and investigation of all alerts generated through name screening.
  • Utilize screening tools to identify potential matches against regulatory watchlists, sanctions lists, politically exposed persons (PEPs) databases, and adverse media sources.
  • Appropriate disposition of each alert with the requisite documentation and justification
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain information for the assessment.
  • Investigate and resolve alerts generated by screening systems, escalating any suspicious findings to the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct due diligence (DD) screenings on highrisk customers, transactions, and counterparties.
  • Implement, review, and manage effective name screening compliance policies and procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive client due diligence (CDD) reviews to verify the identity of clients and assess the nature of their business activities.
  • Analyze documentation provided by clients to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to obtain additional information or clarification as needed.
  • Preparation, interpretation, and presentation of Management Information
  • Keep up to date with the latest laws, regulations, and best practice developments in respect to financial crime name screening including but not limited to antimoney laundering (AML), counterterrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crime regulations, assess the impact and make recommendations regarding necessary changes or enhancements.
  • Able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies and prepare detailed reports documenting due diligence findings and recommendations for further action around key findings and areas of concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 34 years of work experience in financial crime compliance
  • Experience in the financial crime compliance department of an investment banking, asset management firm and/or Private Equity preferred
  • Strong technical financial crime knowledge, including Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Facilitation of Tax Evasion and Modern Slavery including FATF recommendations, OFAC sanctions, and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with screening tools such as Factiva, World-Check, LexisNexis, or Dow Jones Risk & Compliance will be of added advantage.
