Job Title -DCO - Assurance and Control Testing

    Role Description
Divisional Control Office (DCO) team ensures that the division operates with high levels of integrity.

It is responsible for supporting the business by developing, implementing and maintaining a risk culture to ensure a strong and sustainable business control environment whilst minimizing risk arising from non-financial risk factors.

DCO strategy includes improving the risk management information and strengthening the governance and risk culture.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Controls team, Non-Financial Risk Management team and Front Office for the development of assurance / testing plan for the division
  • Undertake Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operational Effectiveness (OE) Testing of Front Office owned or operated controls and suggesting remediation actions
  • Drafting assurance workpapers and publishing detailed testing reports
  • Walkthrough of the assurance finding, with senior stakeholders and control owners
  • Deliver high quality Global Governance decks and reporting trends to support the controls oversight
  • Develops a good understanding of the audit methodology for testing, monitoring and oversight of controls to conclude on effectiveness of controls
  • Liaise with 2LOD on various initiatives including framework and policy developments

Your skills and experience

  • Ability to question existing control framework and provide solutions to strengthen controls
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Knowledge related to risk management and IB /CB products, processes and systems preferred
  • Familiarity with DB organization a plus, but not mandatory
  • Strong project management skills and a proactive team partner
  • Influencing, negotiation skills and stakeholder management expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
