Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Sourcing & Contracting Professional, prime responsibility is to procure and contract basic goods and services, obtain quotation, develop proposal, negotiate contract terms and pricing.

Contracting knowledge and experience is a must have to evaluate risks and adhere to Client compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Address sourcing and contracting requests within agreed upon dollar thresholds
  • Closely working with stakeholders to gather requirements and business objectives
  • Managing sourcing suppliers and senior Client stakeholder relationships
  • Strong knowledge supporting North America based suppliers and contracts
  • Manage all activity according to established Client processes, policies, and procedures
  • Strong capabilities to set, manage, and communicate progress according to agreed upon expectations
  • Strong capability to manage multiple project timelines and urgent deliverables
  • Collaborate with Client Strategic Sourcing Teams on supplier management and negotiation strategy
  • Driving change management through continuous improvement activities
  • Execute competitive bid events
  • Communicate and negotiate with clients and suppliers through all levels of organisation
  • Interface with senior Client strategic sourcing team to implement strategic contracts at a transactional level
  • Understanding of contracts and be able to red line and highlight supplier changes/recommendations
  • Strong ability to within within a zerodefect process per audit and risk compliance measures
  • Provide regular progress and status updates to management teams, including senior Client stakeholders
  • Experience and knowledge of the Services spend category
  • Promote process efficiencies through focus on automation opportunities
  • Identify appropriate potential suppliers to fit clients business objectives
  • Negotiate and contract with suppliers driving additional savings and value
  • Communicate supplier recommendations to clients based on objective criteria and fit for client business
  • Experience problem solving complex issues with multiple communication channels
  • Positive Attitude, Planning, Curiosity, Selfdiscipline, Ability to work in North America time zone (7.30 PM to 4.30 AM IST)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 612 years of experience in Procurement domain
  • Experience in performing duties as Buyer for Sourcing based Organizations procuring goods and services.
  • Interface with strategic sourcing team to implement strategic contracts at the tactical level
  • Strong negotiation and planning skills
  • Services category and contracting knowledge is a must have
  • Comprehensive commercial procurement and client facing or consulting experience
  • High attention to detail working within a process and compliancefocused business
  • Excellent client facing skills with high accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Must be a selfstarter, good team player and an effective problemsolver, ambitious; able to work independently
  • It is preferred if the resource has working experience in a North America based client facing environment. Also have strong tactical buying, contracting, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Proven analytical and communication capabilities with strong ownership and accountability
