A CNC Turning Machine Setter with 5 to 8 years of experience is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of CNC operations and the ability to manage complex setups.
Here's a detailed job description:
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and
operate CNC turning centers, ensuring all machines run smoothly and efficiently.

Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software or G-code to produce precision parts.

Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and equipment for each job.

Adjust machine settings to optimize production while maintaining quality standards.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

Train and
mentor junior operators and setters.

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes and reduce cycle times.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in CNC turning operations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy and material properties.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming in Gcode.
- Familiarity with quality control measures and inspection techniques.
Skills:

- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and methods.
