Introduction:

This is an Automation API Tester role for System, System Integration or End-to-End testing for projects that require changes to one or several systems.

The key purpose of the role is:

Analysis, design and implementation of test automation solutions, structured handover of automation products to test teams and subsequent support for defects and maintenance.
Under mínimal supervision, create Automation scripts estimates, scripts, pre and post conditioning.
Execute Automated Tests and collates evidence for Test automation progress reporting and tracking.
Articulates the tests executed, data used, the results and defects to project stakeholders

What will you be doing?

Support estimation of test engineering tasks (Automation) for the assigned project.
Analysis of manual tasks and identifying best way to automate them through discussion with BA/ Dev/ Test teams
Reverse engineer requirements and develop models as needed to support test automation
Select best tool suited for the job through evaluations and POC
Create ROI model to enable decision making of automation business case
Create Automation code using Java, Selenium, JQuery, Cucumber without support.
Work on enhancements needed to the repository and framework to enable other team members, work on automation scripting.
Work on JIRA requests raised by the team to create new cucumber keywords/ API frameworks or enhance the existing one for the team to proceed.
Structured handover of test automation solutions to project test team members
Conducting demos to the stakeholders for POC using concise and crisp combination of static presentations and dynamic demo executions
Detailed User guide creation and setup for automation users
Conducting user trainings for issue identification and reporting of failures identified through automation
Support and maintenance for test automation solutions
Maintenance of skills and knowledge for approved test automation tools and developments in test engineering tools and techniques
Sharing of reusable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams
Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group.
Constant communication and followups with various stake holders to track deliverable during test automation and dryrun phases where applicable. Escalate issues to LM as appropriate

What we're looking for:

Graduate (B.E) with technical background, Core Java, AWS
Minimum 35 years of experience on banking domain with knowledge of API Test automation.
Experience on Test Automation Management Frameworks like TestNG, BDD (Cucumber), RestAssured, Page Object Model, Karate Framework.
Good Automation skillsets using Selenium/Java or API Auto Framework
DB skills like SQL, MongoDB, Mainframes etc.
Strong interpersonal skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

Conform to established good practice and any appropriate test automation standards
Preferably holding test certifications on ISTQB / CSTE / CSQA
Exposure to Service Virtualization tools like Broadcom Devtest
Knowledge of Scrum, Agile and Kanban
