Position Overview:

The Factory Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and contractors within the factory premises.

This role involves implementing and maintaining safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and providing necessary training to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations, standards, and codes.
Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate risks.

Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification:
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the factory environment.
Implement measures to eliminate or minimize risks, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Inspections and Audits:
Perform routine inspections of the factory premises to identify safety hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with relevant departments to address and rectify identified issues promptly.

Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and communicate emergency response plans, including fire evacuation, first aid, and disaster recovery plans.
Conduct regular drills and training exercises to ensure effective response in case of emergencies.

Training and Education:
Provide safety training to all employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure awareness of safety protocols and procedures.
Organize workshops and awareness campaigns on relevant safety topics.

Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-miss situations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain records of investigations and outcomes.

Safety Data Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related data, including incident reports, inspection findings, training records, and safety performance metrics.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations and projects.
Communicate safety updates, initiatives, and concerns to management and employees.

Continuous Improvement:
Regularly review and analyze safety programs to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging safety technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
Proven experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and assess potential risks.
Proficient in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Problemsolving skills to develop effective solutions for safety challenges.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
Familiarity with safety management software and tools.

Salary:
₹20, ₹24,000.00 per month
