Description

The IT Technician (Entry Level) is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end users within the organization.

This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems and peripherals, and assisting with network and system maintenance tasks.

The IT Technician will work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of computer systems and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support: Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems, resolving network connectivity issues, and assisting with system errors.
Conduct system maintenance: Assist with routine system maintenance tasks, such as monitoring system performance, backing up data, and ensuring data integrity. Identify potential issues and take preventive measures to minimize system downtime.
Asset management: Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, including tracking equipment, licenses, and warranties. Assist in asset procurement, disposal, and replacement activities.
Collaborate with the IT team: Work closely with other members of the IT team to resolve complex technical issues, implement IT projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Share knowledge and insights to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with technology trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to IT support and infrastructure. Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge through training and selfstudy.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or a degree in information technology or a related field is a plus.
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and basic network troubleshooting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer serviceoriented with the ability to interact professionally with end users.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Detailoriented with good organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
