Qualification:

Bachelors in engineering or equivalent


Responsibility:


Requirement Gathering/ Analysis:


  • Identify businesscritical testable scenarios and derive workload model for same.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt existing solution accelerators and provide feedback based on requirement analysis.
  • Share inputs from project planning perspective with Test Lead/Architect (in case of longterm projects).
  • Review requirements and provide inputs on proposal with architect (In case of shortterm projects).
  • Participate in KT calls to understand the requirements.
  • Break down requirements to ensure alignment to strategy.
  • Facilitate data collection as required.
  • Guide Technology Engineers during the phase and resolve any issues/ clarifications.

Design and Development:


  • Customize tools, build automation tools/ enablers or develop inhouse cognizant based tools to be used internally or for client solutions.
  • Provide guidance to develop Proof of Concept (PoC) or develop PoC for particular scenarios/ or complex parts, if required and seek approval from Architect.
  • Conduct code profiling to identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot same.
  • Provide recommendations to developer on code constructs.
  • Interpret test results, identify bottlenecks and suggest additional diagnostic tests that may need to be conducted.
  • Post development, publish the tool or present to the relevant stakeholders (internal / external) under guidance and with support from Technology Engineers.

Knowledge Sharing:


  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions on new technologies with other teams.
  • Create case study and associated collaterals on completed projects.
  • Provide inputs on evaluations tools/ technologies that can be used at a future date.
  • Organize KT sessions for new team members.
  • Mentor new joinees.
  • Attend selftraining to ensure high standards of communication and business etiquette are maintained always.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt existing/ newly built solution accelerators and provide feedback to improve the same.

Market Research:


  • Study and learn industry solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for cross functional solutions or framework development and share opportunities with the larger team.
  • Build assets on industry solutions / best practices.
  • Analyze and write the pros and cons of specific tools.
  • Through knowledge sharing sessions, socialize solution to internal audience.
  • Support implementation of such tools as required.
  • Support gotomarket activities.

Consulting:


  • Consult with internal and external clients to identify smart ways of testing, adequacy of testing requirements based on future needs and technology advances.
  • Identify investment optimization strategies and recommend device to test on.
  • Conduct a POC to analyze feasibility.
  • Identify ways of automation testing and recommend tools to optimize test automation.
  • Identify and articulate benefits to stakeholders.

Business Development Support:


  • Understand proposal requirements from senior stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations on automation tools to be used/ approach to be followed / tools to be built etc.
  • Contribute to build the relevant sections of the proposal.

People Management:


  • Conduct assessments on existing employees as required by the practice.
  • Understand aspirations of team members.
  • Set goals for team members and monitor performance.
  • Guide the employee in setting career paths.
  • Seek feedback and address concerns.
  • Conduct performance appraisal for team members.
