Job Description:

  • Vendor Scheduler

Position Summary:

Key role to ensure supplier deliveries against customer ask. Responsible to feed continues Garrett production line with no scope of failure. Good analytical skill and solution-oriented approach. On time escalation and drive action. Track parts movement and qty as per demand, follow-up on time, every time.

Approach towards lesser Inventory in plant, apart from this Material master management knowledge, regular reports to be submitted as per time.


Key Job Areas of Responsibility:


  • Check periodically (weekly/ daily) the scheduled deliveries with suppliers from the portfolio.
  • Ensure supplier should follow delivery schedule.
  • Track & trace physical flow of parts which needed to be On time, each time.
  • Ensure accuracy of information of commercial invoices and other documents accompanying the goods in transit.
  • On time solution for any open action (MIGO or Rejection or Quality).
  • Raise escalation if any capacity issue or demand more then capacity.
  • Periodic review with suppliers and work on there performance improvement plan.
  • Together with the Global Vendor Planner develops and seek for recovery plans from suppliers.
  • Material Master data knowledge, and can update when needed.
  • Capable to manage relationship with supplier.
  • Able to identify issues well in advance and take precursory major for them.
  • Identifies excess, slow move and obsolete inventory issues and resolves them along with Physical Flow and Inventory Analyst.
  • Interfaces with Supply Base to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
  • Check the delivery schedule set by the Global Vendor Planner and signal supply problems.
  • On time highlight and alignment with customer desk team as per delay in shipment. Reports and tracking supplier's performance indicators of the department.

Education/Qualifications:

Any Graduate/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.


Experience:

5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Domain.


Key Skills and Knowledge:


  • Strong knowledge/experience in MRP & SAP ( PP & MM module ).
  • Ability to understand Cross functional, external customer and supplier concern.
  • Customer centric approach, Inventory controls. Basic knowledge of supplier process (Foundry, Assemblies).
  • Knowledge of various movement types, their use and various customization settings related to them. Maintaining Plant Parameters for Inventory Management.
