    Who we are seeking:

    The Market Data Reference team at ACD Asset Control is on the lookout for an enthusiastic, skilled, and driven individual to join us as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SDET). In this role, you will be responsible for testing software in a Waterfall / Kanban environment. We need someone who can quickly grasp new technologies, adapt to evolving business needs, and come up to speed efficiently.

    Responsibilities of a Software Quality Assurance Engineer:

    • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, developers, and other SQA team members to identify and refine functional/regression test cases based on business requirements and solutioning approach.
    • Recognize business test scenarios during analysis/preplanning. Partner with Business, Dev, and SQA teams
    • Document testing activities, such as test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports to assess quality and associated risks.
    • Create and track defects promptly using internal tools/processes like XRAY/JIRA.
    • Participate in daily/weekly meetings to address key issues, Jira Items, and impediments.
    • Contribute to team demos for new Functionality/Tools and showcase ongoing Jira items.
    • Maintain Regression testing suite as per Release requirements.
    • Prepare release checkpoints for upcoming releases and seek relevant stakeholder approvals.
    • Lead test automation projects for improved regression coverage and efficient checkouts.
    • Execute automated tests daily to detect any new issues.
    • Regularly follow up to ensure timely defect resolution.
    • Actively engage in Joint Integration testing (JIT), end-to-end testing, and defect resolutions by collaborating with upstream and downstream teams.
    • Analyze feedback from business users on developed modules and discuss potential actions with analysts and PO.

    Key Skills for Success in this Role:

    • Test Data Management (TDM) and Data Modeling.
    • SQL query execution.
    • UFT Automation expertise.
    • Proficiency in XRAY/JIRA Tools.
    • Knowledge of Github or similar version control systems.
    • Familiarity with Bloomberg, PSDL Feeds, and Upgrades.
    • Strong communication abilities.
    • Openness to learning new business processes and concepts.
    • Ability to think from a holistic product perspective and understand overall impact, not just individual parts.

    Education and Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 5+ years of professional software testing experience, including test planning, test case design, automation, and methodologies.
    • Solid expertise in SQL Database testing and Java.
