    Description

    We're currently seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to join Procore's mission of transforming an industry that has historically been underserved. In this role, you'll collaborate within our Product and Engineering team to shape the technical direction of our authentication platform, catering to millions of users and thousands of integrations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute significantly to the architecture, design, and development of Procore's authentication platform
    • Develop key application platform features to enhance customization and extensibility by various users and developers
    • Participate in core projects and innovative technical endeavors at Procore
    • Lead architectural design decisions aimed at enhancing scalability and performance
    • Communicate, develop, and oversee platform-level initiatives
    • Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and training
    • Act as a subject matter expert in specific domains to guide others in maintaining a robust codebase
    • Lead teams focusing on the future technology design at Procore

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 8+ years of experience in Programming, SaaS/PaaS applications, Frontend + Backend engineering, Test Driven Development, and Architecture Design principles
    • Proficiency in GoLang, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, or Java
    • Expertise in modern authentication systems/methods such as OAuth and 2FA
    • Proven ability to anticipate and solve technical challenges in major projects
    • Extensive experience in building and enhancing large features, supporting technological areas, and architecture initiatives
    • Familiarity with API development using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL
    • Proficiency in different datastores, both relational and non-relational
    • Experience in event-driven architecture using technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ
    • Strong expertise in modern web and backend development processes
