  • Maintain proper stock levels and provide recommendations for threshold and reorder quantities to management and purchase officer
  • Responsible for managing the inventory in the pharmacy and accountable for all stock
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy
  • Responsible for raising PO's as per threshold and reorder quantities set.
  • Responsible for following up with central warehouse for timely delivery of products
  • Ensuring that all products received in the pharmacy have correct MRPs, expiry dates and batch numbers as per transfer note from the central warehouse
  • Dispensing of medicines to the clients post consults/inpatients
  • Ensuring correct billing of products as per batch number
  • Ensuring proper shrinking of prep and lab products as per company protocols
  • For HUBs, the pharmacist is in charge of maintaining correct inventory levels in the EMR cabinet.
  • Every morning the pharmacist has to check the stocks used from the EMR cabinet and ensure they are billed against the relevant patient. The EMR cabinet is then replenished with the new stock by shrinking against the term 'Emergency Cabinet'. Stocks used are replenished by doing a daily inventory of the cabinet.
  • Ensuring that all products are available in the pharmacy and no product runs out of stock.
  • Coordinating with central warehouse manager for ordering new products.
  • Taking a physical count of stock as against the system on a regular basis.
  • Dispensing products to client with labels mentioning dosages.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy stocks products and bills products strictly in accordance with the FDA guidelines
  • Ensuring that the pharmacy is up to date with all necessary permissions and rules and regulations of the FDA
  • Ensuring all bills and invoices are filed correctly and no issues arise at the time of an FDA inspection.
  • Providing information of goods that are 3 months (food) and 6 months (medicines) to expiry to the head vet and senior management.
  • Ensuring all expired goods are removed and kept separately in a box labelled expired goods.
  • Ensuring proper disposal of expired goods
  • Ensuring all products are dispensed in accordance with the billing protocol of the company. NO products to be dispensed as an outstanding unless authorised by the Head Vet.
  • Maintaining stocks according to FIFO method and ensuring that products are billed according to correct batch number and MRP.
  • Providing information on non moving products to the central warehouse manager and head vet.
