Description

We are looking for a Naval Architect/Marine Engineer with experience in Ship Plan approval or verification process OR marine classification services such as surveying or construction overseeing activities OR ship design and construction with emphasis on dealing with classification services.

What You Will Do:

Liaise with BA and SMEs to understand the business needs and write the test cases accordingly.
Properly organize the test cases in JIRA tool and execute them as and when needed.
Collaborate with dev/BA/SME team to ensure that test cases are providing sufficient coverage for any fix or new enhancement.
Guide and assist the QA team to analyze and test the developed IT solutions.
Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

25 years' experience in Marine plan approval process, ship design and construction activities
Graduate degree in a technical field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of Marine plan approval processor ship survey practices to understand ABS business needs.
Knowledge of Ship design and construction activities with preference to shipyard experience
Ability to work across multiple teams and provide continuous support to different team members.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Analytical skills

Evaluate and examine all possible scenarios.
Problem solving
Ability to suggest new ideas and solutions.

Attention to detail

Requires detailed analysis to find ways to improve developed products.
Knowledge of Software testing/Development Lifecycle would be an added advantage.
Willingness to explore and learn new concepts both in the Marine and IT industry.

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to a senior-level member of management.

Working Conditions:

The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen.
