Job Overview:

You would be primarily responsible for working on Risk Scorecards (Customer Acquisition / Customer Management) and Alternate Data Solutions (incorporation of new industry data sources into risk models) across the bank's product portfolio

As a senior member of the team, you are expected to maintain end to end ownership of the analytics project which includes

Data Preparation and Exploratory Data Analysis

Feature Engineering with focus on new industry data sources

Model Development and Approvals from stakeholders

Model Deployment and post implementation validations

Periodic Monitoring and Model Refinement

You would also partner closely with key stakeholders throughout the model development lifecycle. These would include

Data Engineering & IT - for deployments

Policy & Risk - for approvals

Internal & External Auditors - for validations

Experience
Experience in modelling for BFSI domain preferred

Strong track record in solving analytical problems using quantitative and statistical approaches

Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimension data from varying sources

Machine Learning techniques for regression and classification such as logistic models, boosting/bagging, clustering, KNN etc

Technical competence in tools such as Python and/or SAS

B. Tech. / BE or MSc. in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics or MBA- Finance from Tier-1 institutions.

3-5 years of relevant experience with proficiency in working with large datasets using Py Spark/ BDL /SQL/SAS.. Experience on SAS VIYA is a good add-on.

Well conversant with statistical concepts like Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes Classifiers, Neural Networks, Clustering etc.


Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to influence and manage internal and external stakeholders beyond direct circle of influence.

Familiarity with basic IT and Data Engineering work streams terminology to better plan and execute project milestones.

Comfortable with dynamic work environment and unstructured problem statements with ability to convert the same into tangible solution approach.


Understanding of financial services industry basics with know-how of offered products and multiple channel journeys possible including digital workflows in BFSI space will be an advantage.
