Background


Unilever is digitally rewiring its supply chain, focusing on generating real-time & democratized information, capitalizing on robotics, and building digitally connected factories.

This change is focusing on (1) manufacturing & quality transformation in Unilever factories, (2) supporting a partnership ecosystem for Collaborative Manufacturers & Supply Partners, and (3) building capabilities for consumer insights.

The Supply Chain Transformation is expected to enable

  • Improved agility and customer centricity across endtoend manufacturing and supply chains through facilitation of faster recognition of customer preferences and feedback. This, in turn, will allow quicker adjustments to manufacturing flows at nextgeneration smart factories to allow higher levels of customization. A competitive edge through supplychain resilience thereby requiring connected, reconfigurable supply ecosystems. Speed and productivity through increased levels of automation and workforce augmentation coupled with upskilling and reskilling effort. Purpose of the Role:


Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • You will be working alongside the Digital Manufacturing Product team to identify and implement the most optimal cloudbased solutions for our business.
  • As part of this role, you will be accountable for delivery of architecture solutions through all phases of the product lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing; based on a proven agile methodology.
  • You will need to provide comprehensive designs for engineers on how to deliver programmatic elements of the implementation as part of the defined product service.
  • Key to this role, you will need to be competent in Architecting cloudnative, hybrid, or multicloud solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Create and own content and lead workshops on technical topics with the business units.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders of the platform/business team and third parties to understand how systems work, be able to highlight where efficiencies or cloudnative services could improve their environment.
  • Coordinates with various departments and roles to assure that all changes fit within the overall direction of the Manufacturing team from both a functional, technical, & support perspective.
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot complex problems and design and implement solutions.
  • Assist teams to solve complex technical problems and build automation to eliminate mundane tasks.
  • Document any developed processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding of current technology environment and industry trends.
  • Ensures decisions around architecture are made in alignment with defined UniOps and Unilever strategies with deviations from standards being accurately identified, addressed
