    Position Title: Manager – Finance & Controllership

    Location – Belgharia, Kolkata - WB - IND

    Manager - Finance for Wabtec Components Business Unit

  • Lead financial management & own the accounting processes for Wabtec Operating Unit in Kolkata
  • Drive business growth Projects along with business, commercial, legal & operations leaders
  • Manage relationship with JV partner and all Directors on regular basis.
  • Develops policies & procedures to ensure proper internal controls while maximizing operational efficiency including maintenance of Fixed Assets Registers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables,
  • Drive consistent compliance with Finance policies and procedures - GL management, Internal, statutory, Sox Audits
  • Working with company secretary / legal team to ensure compliance with respect to board meetings, preparation of presentation to JV board and timely approvals.

    • Controllership Manager for Wabtec Corporate Entities

  • Manage monthly US GAAP financials, review accounting reconciliations across Wabtec India entities.
  • Partner finance managers in driving accuracy & completeness of financials and enhancements in operational accounting area and drive strong controllership reviews.
  • Ensures integrity of financial systems, general ledgers and sub-ledgers and identify system enhancements to maximize productivity and reduce operating costs. Drive Systems improvement and corporate driven Projects.
  • Drive projects for simplification & standardization of ERP Systems, Processes, and financial reporting to corporate and India management.
  • Drive accuracy and adherence to standards and policies and monitor the metrics on compliance, account reconciliations, Stat to US GAAP accounting & reconciliations, Turnaround time etc. Manage Quarterly closings, reporting and other regulatory filings.
  • Working with cross functional team and supporting compliance with Direct/ Indirect tax, Customs and Companies Act requirements.
  • Lead, coach & mentor diverse team to leverage maximum contribution.

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 6- 8 years experiences of Controllership & Accounting in manufacturing set up, working experience with US MNC would be an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience on preparation on financial statement per IGAAP/USGAAP, able to guide team on complex / unstructured transactions, established strong analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in an open environment and embrace change, and work with cross functional teams.
  • Good exposure to ERP Oracle/SAP along with working knowledge of Tally will be an added advantage.

    • Desired characteristics:

  • Well versed in all accounting principles and internal control framework to be able to design compliant processes and drive necessary changes.
  • Strong business and financial /commercial acumen
  • Flexibility to work in ever changing environment and ability to adopt changes quickly.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong team spirit and ability to work independently / with minimal supervision.
