As a Kitchen Helper specializing in Chinese cuisine, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, assisting in the preparation and cooking of authentic Chinese dishes.

Your role will involve supporting the chefs and cooks in various kitchen tasks, including ingredient preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

This position requires a passion for Chinese cuisine, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:


  • Assist in preparing ingredients for Chinese dishes, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meats, and seafood.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure accurate and consistent preparation of dishes.

Cooking Assistance:


  • Assist chefs and cooks in cooking Chinese dishes using traditional cooking methods such as stirfrying, steaming, braising, and deepfrying.
  • Monitor cooking processes, including temperatures and cooking times, to ensure food safety and quality.

Plating and Presentation:


  • Assist in plating and garnishing Chinese dishes according to established presentation standards, ensuring that each dish is visually appealing and authentic.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of orders to customers.

Kitchen Cleanliness and Sanitation:


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including workstations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items.

Inventory Management:


  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels of Chinese ingredients, sauces, and spices, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory records as needed.

Team Collaboration:


  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and servers to coordinate food preparation and service.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine.
  • Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary:

₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
