Introduction:
- Support the delivery of the climate reporting content within our high profile Environmental, Social and Governance report, Annual Report, TCFD Report and other relevant external disclosures
- Provide accurate and validated financial reporting of climate metrics, including Client Carbon Intensity metrics, Green Lending & Financing metrics including volumes, balances and revenues, and risk measures such as climaterelated exposure and stress test results. This team will also be responsible for managing Barclays carbon accounting strategy and reporting for Scope 3 financed emissions.
- Work crossfunctionally to source, validate, consolidate and present data from existing data providers across the Bank, including Risk, Finance and Business teams
- Map the existing data lineage, process and controls. Recommend and implement enhancements and maintain control environment in line with the firm's Standards.
- Provide accurate and insightful input to assist climaterelated decision making processes through Monthly Business Reviews, working with CFO Business Partnering teams
- Partner with Risk and other Functional teams to develop and drive process automation and improvements.
- Working with external assurance providers (KPMG) to ensure robustness of reporting processes and controls.
- Support the delivery of Climate Reporting, analysis, sourcing, validation and assurance processes for Barclays businesses
- Contribute to enhancement of the Climate Reporting processes, specifically enhancing controls, automating and contributing to definition and development of Climate Metrics
- Support reviews of business performance to drive progress towards external Climate commitments and support decisionmaking at the most senior level, to ExCo and Board
- Contribute to longerterm programme to automate Climate Reporting into wider Finance and Risk systems infrastructure
- Establish a strong control environment in the team and enable appropriate escalation
- Provide appropriate and timely guidance and feedback to businesses regarding KPIs,
- Prepare financial reporting and management information for use with a range of stakeholders
What we're looking for:
- Business knowledge:
- Financial reporting or financial control experience, preferably for both Group and business
- Good understanding of financial reporting, accountancy and analytics
- Commercial knowledge of banking industry
- Functional knowledge:
- Qualified accountant. Or Management Post Graduate from premier institute
- Strong university degree/academics
- Skills & Competencies:
- Highly motivated selfstarter
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Good communication skills, written and interpersonal, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Collaborative style, able to build relationships across the Group
- Good line management skills, with ability to develop skill set of direct report
- Very comfortable working with systems/data

An overall awareness of the Barclays Group strategies, organisational structure, and the key areas with which the jobholder may interface.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Prior experience in migrating legacy systems to self-serviced dashboards
- Prior experience of working on projects involving green / social financing and/or climate change metrics
