The Light Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of lighting equipment for various events, performances, or productions.

This role requires a thorough understanding of lighting systems, creativity in designing lighting setups, and the ability to work collaboratively with other technical and creative professionals.


Key Responsibilities:


Lighting Setup:
Install and set up lighting equipment according to the requirements of the event or production.
Ensure proper placement and configuration of lighting fixtures to achieve the desired visual effects.


Operation and Control:
Operate lighting consoles and control systems to execute lighting designs during live events or performances.
Adjust lighting levels, colors, and patterns to enhance the overall visual experience.


Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance on lighting equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lighting systems promptly.


Collaboration:

Work closely with other technical teams, including sound engineers, stage managers, and set designers, to coordinate and integrate lighting elements into the overall production.


Design and Creativity:

Collaborate with directors, producers, and designers to develop creative and effective lighting designs that align with the artistic vision of the production.

Stay updated on the latest lighting technologies and design trends.


Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment for oneself and others.
Ensure compliance with electrical and safety codes in all lighting installations.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Light Technician in live events, theaters, or similar settings.
  • Proficiency in operating lighting consoles and control systems.
  • Familiarity with DMX protocols and other lighting communication systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to interpret and execute lighting designs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.

Education and Certifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical certifications or education in lighting design is a plus).

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working at heights, as needed for lighting rigging.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fresher


Salary:
From ₹20,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
