Responsibilities:


Academic Coordination:
Collaborate with teachers and faculty to design and implement the academic curriculum.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of students to identify areas for improvement and support.
Organize and conduct staff meetings to discuss academic strategies and best practices.
Develop and maintain academic calendars, schedules, and timetables for various grades and programs.
Coordinate and oversee the administration of examinations and assessments.

Counselling Services:
Provide counselling and support to students to address academic, emotional, and personal challenges.
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to help students with their academic and personal development.
Identify students in need of intervention and refer them to appropriate support services.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to create holistic support plans for students with special needs or challenges.
Promote mental health and well-being initiatives within the school community.

Student and Parent Communication:
Foster positive relationships with students and parents to address any concerns or queries related to academics or counselling.
Regularly communicate with parents about their child's progress and development.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and workshops to provide guidance on academic and behavioural issues.

Academic Support:
Conduct workshops and training sessions for teachers to enhance their teaching methodologies and approaches.
Implement strategies to improve student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes.
Develop and implement academic support programs for students who require additional assistance.

Curriculum Development:
Participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum materials and resources.
Stay updated with the latest educational trends, research, and best practices to improve academic offerings.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Academic Coordinator or Counsellor in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of academic curriculum development and educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic and supportive approach towards students and their needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school administrators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of counselling techniques and practices.

Job Types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Trivandrum, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
