Description

The Import and Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the registration and compliance processes related to various import and export regulations.

This role involves ensuring that the company adheres to all legal requirements and obtains the necessary permits and licenses to facilitate smooth international trade operations.

The specialist will handle registrations for various regulatory bodies, including but not limited to Ad code Registration, Apeda Registration, IEC Registration, Safta Registration, Spice Board, and other relevant import and export registrations.


Key Responsibilities:

Registration Process Management:
Handle the end-to-end registration process for various import and export regulatory bodies. This includes preparing and submitting required documentation, liaising with government authorities, and ensuring timely approvals.

Compliance Monitoring:
Regularly monitor and update import and export compliance requirements to ensure the company operates within the legal framework. Stay informed about changes in regulations and promptly adapt procedures to stay compliant.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all registration documents, licenses, permits, and certificates. Organize and store these records for easy retrieval during audits or inspections.

Risk Assessment:
Assess potential risks related to import and export activities and devise strategies to mitigate these risks effectively. Ensure that the company's operations comply with relevant customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Communication:

Facilitate effective communication with regulatory authorities and trade associations to resolve issues, seek clarifications, and stay updated on industry-specific changes.


Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement in import and export registration procedures, documentation management, and compliance. Implement measures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate employees on import and export regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in import and export registration processes, including Ad code Registration, Apeda Registration, IEC Registration, Safta Registration, Spice Board, and other relevant registrations.
  • Strong understanding of customs laws, trade policies, and import/export regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for recordkeeping and documentation management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and industry practices.
  • Prior experience in the import/export industry or a related role is highly desirable.

Salary:
₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
