*STRUCTURED CABLING/TELECOM PROJECT Engineer - Immediate need

FOREPERSON
SECURITY SYSTEMS ESTIMATOR

Our focus is Voice-Data-Wireless (with an emphasis on Data Centers).

Our Business is the Structured Cabling Division of AVI-SPL, and we take advantage of the migration of IP into everything that touches a, Server, Switch, PC, or phone.

STP, UTP (Cat 5E/ Cat 6, CAT6a), Fiber Optics, mostly ISP & some OSP and Wireless (Point to Point, Point to Multi-Point, Mesh).

Our primary markets are:

DATA Centers, Financial Institutions, Education, State & Local Gov't with a new focus on 3 letter Federal Agencies, DoD and civilian.

We work in sensitive areas.

Responsibilities and Duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling, managing, & coordinating available labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, technical

expertise, diverse cultures & the calendar. Will perform site visits in the pre-planning phase.

Manage the daytoday operations of all assigned projects. Communicate with management in advance about

staffing requirements. Coordinate & approve equipment & product needs with purchasing channels.

Employing excellent communication channels & effective interaction with Sales, the Client, and Installation Teams & Management. Conduct regular team meetings. Travel is required when necessary, sometimes with little advance notice.
Be able to effectively interact with multiple unionized construction trades.
Documenting every aspect of the project's progress including the creation of change orders, logistics, & events,
Obtaining Final Sign-Off's at project completion.
