Job description

Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory:

Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and business units on a wide range of legal matters.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies, policies, and procedures.
Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company\'s interests.

Litigation Management:

Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including civil, criminal, and regulatory cases.
Collaborate with external legal counsel to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
Prepare, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, and responses on behalf of the company.

Non-Litigation Matters:

Handle a variety of nonlitigation matters, including contract negotiations, intellectual property, employment issues, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide legal support in drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements, licenses, and permits.
Assist in conducting legal due diligence for potential business ventures or acquisitions.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to protect the company\'s interests.
Advise management on potential legal and regulatory implications of business decisions.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the cinema industry and proactively recommend necessary actions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government authorities, legal counsels, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations, finance, and human resources, to provide legal support and guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor\'s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university. Master\'s degree in Law (LL.M.) is preferred.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar legal role, preferably within the entertainment, cinema, retail or hospitality industry.
Indepth knowledge of Indian laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
Strong experience in handling litigation matters, and managing external legal counsel.
Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and reviewing legal documents.
Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
