**Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. This role involves managing and motivating the team, conducting inspections, and implementing efficient housekeeping procedures.Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and training.
Task Coordination:
- Assign daily cleaning tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet guest and operational needs.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse spaces to ensure high cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Address and rectify any issues or deficiencies promptly.
Training and Development:
- Provide training to new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Encourage professional development and conduct performance reviews.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, ensuring an adequate stock level.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source quality cleaning supplies within budget.
Guest Satisfaction:
- Address guest concerns and requests promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with the front desk to ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded.
Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication channels with staff, management, and other departments.
- Report any maintenance issues or needed repairs promptly.
Job Expectations:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and equipment usage.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Minimum Qualification:
Graduate
