**Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. This role involves managing and motivating the team, conducting inspections, and implementing efficient housekeeping procedures.


Responsibilities:


Supervision and Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and training.

Task Coordination:

  • Assign daily cleaning tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet guest and operational needs.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse spaces to ensure high cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Address and rectify any issues or deficiencies promptly.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training to new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Encourage professional development and conduct performance reviews.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, ensuring an adequate stock level.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source quality cleaning supplies within budget.

Guest Satisfaction:

  • Address guest concerns and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with the front desk to ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded.

Communication:

  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with staff, management, and other departments.
  • Report any maintenance issues or needed repairs promptly.

Job Expectations:


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and equipment usage.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Minimum Qualification:
Graduate


Minimum Job Experience: 1-3 years
