Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join our team in Pune.


This Data Modeller role will be working closely with Data Architects/Engineers/Analysts to implement data modelling solutions to streamline and support enterprise information management.


As a Data Modeller, you will:

  • Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
  • Evaluating existing data systems. Determine how the various entities are related and develop entity relationship diagrams that represent the connections among the entities. Identify each entity's characteristics and properties and ensure that the entities can be differentiated within the model.
  • Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows. Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system. Reviewing modifications of existing systems for crosscompatibility.
  • Transforming the logical representation of the model into a physical representation and work with database administrators to instantiate and manage the data.
  • Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
  • Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency. Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of hands-on data modelling experience, preferably in a global transport and logistics environment.
  • A breadth of knowledge in BI and Analytics, strong commercial "know how", focusing on excellent understanding of data, data structure and segmentation as well as strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with relational databases such as SQL. Demonstrated experience in working with Azure Synapse and Microsoft Purview.
  • Demonstrated experience in metadata management and related tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing of statistical models.
  • A Master's degree in information technology managementrelated curriculum.
