Currently SF has been implementing projects worth Rs 80 Crore across India directly or with the help of grassroot organizations, primarily CSR funded projects of varied scale both in urban slums and rural areas including aspirational districts in thematic areas mentioned above.
The wealth of knowledge emanated from the same is immense, however the same is grouped in systematic manner which can be used for pitching for large projects of long term in nature leading to data driven knowledge products which can be further used in creating large scale impact.
Job Summary
The Behavior Change Communication (BCC) specialist will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing information, communication, and education (IEC) based content as well as behavior change communications activities for the beneficiaries under the project using the different Health communication Models.
- To understand and analyse the onfield challenges related to the utilisation of Family Planning (FP)/ MNCHN (Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health and Nutrition, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health) services from the providers and consumers end.
- To develop IEC & BCC Activities addressing FP/MNCH Utilisation Challenges
- To formulate locally appropriate IEC/BCC strategies in collaboration/ consultation with the Local Government stakeholders.
- Train the staff/ Stakeholders on the implementation of IEC & BCC activities
- To mitigate the challenges related to the acceptance and promotion of the IEC & BCC activities in the field.
- To monitor the onfield implementation of IEC & BCC activities.
- To work towards the IEC & BCC activities acceptance and adoption by the Local Government Stakeholders and its dissemination at a wider scale.
- To guide the local implementation of IEC/BCC activities in both public and private sectors.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of a Master's degree in development, communications, media & broadcasting, public health, social sciences (such as medical anthropology), education, or other fields related to the concerns of the project.
- At least 5 years of experience being involved in a project similar or related to the nature of job summary. Preference will be given to an individual with an experience of working in a health setting along with the government at local/ state/national level or NGOs or in a Donor Funded projects.
- Prior Experience of working in Public Health System
- Familiarity and understanding of policies and procedures, or those of donorfunded projects; communitybased projects; or corporate social responsibility projects.
- Familiarity with the Indian health system
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Punjabi
