Research Professional - Generative AI for Software Architecture

Who are We?


We are part of Siemens' Technology (T) Group - the core Research division of Siemens that takes up Research on Futuristic Topics on all fields related to Siemens Businesses and helps Siemens provide a better value to customers.

Under T Research, you will be part of the group Architecture Evolution and Software Innovation.

This team works on research and transfer of Architecture Guidance for digitalization solutions and products leveraging the Siemens Industrial IoT platform.


What do we do?
ASI (Architecture Evolution and Software Innovation) focuses on Research in Areas of the Siemens industrial IoT platform.

We work on problems related to Interconnecting Complex Data Models from PLM to create Semantic enabled Data Connectivity in PLM Tool Chain that can result in a closed feedback loop.

We also investigate transition of Business based on Legacy Software to Cloud based Business Models and investigate the architecturally feasible phase wise approach for such a transition.


Position Overview

This is your role. What part will you play?

Literature Review
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to stay abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI, Software Architecture, and related fields.

Summarize and synthesize research findings to inform ongoing projects.


Algorithm Development:

Collaborate with the research team to design and implement generative algorithms for software architecture exploration and optimization.

Analyze and refine existing algorithms, ensuring their applicability to real-world software engineering challenges.


Data Collection and Analysis:

Perform statistical analysis and present findings to support decision-making.


Experimentation and Prototyping:
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to test and validate generative AI models.

Iterate on models based on feedback and empirical results.


Documentation:

Document research methodologies, experimental setups, and results.

Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.


Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and domain experts.

Participate in team meetings, providing updates on research progress.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with software architecture principles and practices.
  • Previous experience with generative models, deep learning, and neural networks.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications
Research experience in Generative AI or related fields.

Publications in reputable conferences or journals.

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
