Field Biologist for study on Sarus Crane
monitoring and conservation of the Sarus Crane in Vidarbha region, Maharashtra. The nature

of work is diverse and spans across Gondia, Bhandara and Chandrapur districts of

Maharashtra and adjoining Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh different states of India.

Educational Qualification:
M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Zoology / Environmental Science with at
least one year field experience, Fresher can also apply.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Regular field surveys
  • Data compilation and analysis
  • Writing scientific reports and papers with basic mapping and analytical skills
  • Writing project documents
  • Ready for extensive travel across field sites
  • To assist the Project Coordinator in overall execution of the project.
  • Physically and mentally fit to undertake strenuous field work in harsh weather

Desirables:


  • Sound understanding of ornithology and wetland ecosystem.
  • Strong scientific writing and basic mapping and analytical skills.

Salary:
Rs. 30,000/- per month (CTS)


Age Limit:
Below 30 years.

Location of Placement:
Project base will be in one of the field study area in Vidarbha region
(with main reporting at BNHS headquarter Mumbai). He / she will be required to travel to
field sites located in different districts of Maharashtra.
