Redaptive seeks an in-house attorney/counsel in support of the company's continued growth.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work directly with all company teams to close transactions in a fast-paced environment, provide guidance with respect to new product and service offerings, advise and train non-legal staff, and manage risk.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including those related to energy services, consulting, vendors, nondisclosure, financial and other agreements.
  • Work as part of the legal team, and crossfunctionally with other teams on a variety of commercial matters.
  • Work closely with members of the legal, finance and commercial teams to develop scalable processes and procedures.
  • Miscellaneous legal projects that arise within the legal team

Job Requirements / Qualifications:


  • 35 years of postqualification experience working at a law firm and/or inhouse in a transactional legal role, with excellent drafting skills.
  • Ability to independently review, revise and negotiate with opposing counsel a wide variety of commercial agreements.
  • Selfstarter, cando attitude combined with a strong sense of humility, collaborative working style, and ability to perform with little supervision.
  • Ability to explain legal concepts to nonattorney inhouse clients; and ability to understand and integrate business objectives into coherent and enforceable legal documents.
  • Ability to take end to end ownership over legal tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • J.D./ L.L.M. degree and licensed to practice law in India and the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with solar, energy services agreements and/or project finance.
  • Experience with commercial contracts, real estate, finance, SaaS agreements, and general corporate matters.
  • Interest / familiarity with energy, technology, and finance.
  • Inhouse/startup experience and a strong grasp of transactional risk and mitigation measures.
