Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Counsel:

Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on land-related matters, including property transactions, disputes, title investigations, and zoning regulations.

Due Diligence:

Conduct comprehensive due diligence on land and real estate properties, including title searches, land records verification, and regulatory compliance assessments.

Document Review:
Review and draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, deeds, leases, and other documents related to land transactions.

Litigation Support:
Represent WOLP in land-related litigation cases when necessary, or work closely with litigation teams to provide legal support.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with all relevant land and real estate laws, regulations, and government policies in Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Negotiation:
Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to resolve land-related disputes and contractual matters.

Legal Research:
Conduct legal research to stay informed about evolving legal trends and precedents in land and real estate law.

Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other legal experts and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university. A master\'s degree in real estate law or a related field is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing land and real estate law in Mumbai, with a strong understanding of local regulations and procedures.

Membership in the Bar Council of India.

Excellent knowledge of land acquisition laws, property registration processes, land development regulations, and land-use policies in Mumbai.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.

Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
