Aufgaben:

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases that are deployed in a cloud environment. This includes selecting appropriate cloudbased database solutions, configuring and optimizing those solutions for performance and scalability, and ensuring that the databases are secure and compliant with industry standards.
The role requires a deep understanding of cloudbased databases such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud SQL, as well as experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. The expert should be wellversed in database scalability, performance tuning, and backup and recovery. Additionally, they should be familiar with cloudbased infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement cloudbased databases that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
Monitor and maintain cloudbased databases, troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed
Optimize database performance and scalability
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Create and maintain documentation for database design and configuration
Provide guidance and mentoring to other team members on cloudbased databases

Skills:

Strong experience with cloudbased databases such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud SQL
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Strong understanding of database scalability, performance tuning, and backup and recovery
Familiarity with cloudbased infrastructure and services such as virtual machines, storage, and networking
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifikationen:

Specific Knowledge:
PostgreSQL Architect
Performance monitoring and tuning
SuSE Linux Operating System.
Configuration management system - SALT, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
Scripting technologies - Shell, Perl, Python
Oracle and NoSQL Databases, [DB2 / Postgres / Mongo DB / Cassandra / MS SQL (at least 3 of these]

Cloud Native DB's ( Azure/ AWS /GCP based DB's ) / Maria DB, ELK DB, Mongo DB / Cassandra ( at least 3 of these)

Necessary Knowledge:
Understand the business and requirement
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
Experience in administrating of huge PostgreSQL Databases (> 1 TB) and DB Migration to PGSQL
Thorough understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and operations.
Familiarity with private and public cloud solutions
Experience with administrating PostgreSQL databases v9, v10 & v11.
Experience with setting up Streaming replication and repmgr with near zero latency.
Performance monitoring of databases - analyzing query execution plans, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis.
Experience in PostgreSQL minor version patching and major version upgrades with near 0 downtime.
PostgreSQL Database Backup and Restores using pg_dump, Barman and any other third party tools.
Must have strong knowledge of Linux.
Knowledge of scripting technologies - Shell, Perl, Python.
Knowledge and experience with Configuration management tools - SALT, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet is a plus.
