Duties

Basic Function of the Position:
The position is located in the Engineering Security Center (ESC) Office, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi.

The incumbent will serve in the senior supervisory position assigned to ESC office New Delhi, an operational element of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) that applies technology to protect people, property, and sensitive information at U.S.

Diplomatic facilities.

The 18-person DS regional security work force is comprised of 16 Regional Security Technicians, 2 locally employed Admin staff, and 8 DS Regional Technical Offices (RTOs) throughout India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

S/he will lead DS efforts to ensure unclassified technical security systems remain at 100% operational readiness by managing extensive regional travel overseas, prioritizes, and delegates a high volume of unclassified physical and technical security work orders across the region.

The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned by the agency.

Qualifications and Evaluations


Requirements:


EXPERIENCE:

This position requires eight years of engineering experience involving physical/technical security or life safety system of complex industrial grade electrical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems installation and maintenance experience, out of which one year of supervisory experience.

Education Requirements:

This position requires successful completion of University degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Technology.

LANGUAGE:

Level 4 (Fluent) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.

Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
