CT / MRI Technician Job Description

Overview:


Responsibilities:

1.


Patient Care:


  • Greet patients and explain procedures to alleviate any concerns or anxiety.
  • Prepare patients for CT and MRI scans by positioning them correctly and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patients throughout the procedure and address any issues or discomfort promptly.

Equipment Operation:


  • Operate CT and MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images according to physician orders.
  • Adjust imaging parameters such as slice thickness, exposure settings, and contrast injection as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Image Quality Assurance:


  • Review acquired images to ensure technical quality and accuracy for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues or artifacts that may affect image quality and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Radiation Safety:


  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Use shielding devices and techniques to protect patients and colleagues from unnecessary radiation exposure.

Team Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:


  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Certification in CT and MRI technology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT / MRI Technician preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating CT and MRI scanners and related equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Pay:
₹13, ₹30,063.61 per month
