Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst analyzes business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions.

Working under mínimal supervision, this job designs system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture.

This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
  • Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

Engages client teams and explains complicated security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.


  • Estimates the costs of various system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.
Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Product Owner Role and Responsibilities

  • Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Define Team Goals and Objective aligning with the product roadmap
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Requirement

  • Having minimum experience as a PO for 4 years.
  • Experience of working in a Product Owner/ Business Analyst role in US Retirement Market Domain
  • Business analysis skills including
  • Requirements analysis,
  • Team and Product Backlog Management
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Prioritizing the Team Backlog
  • Breaking the requirement into Stories
  • Indepth knowledge of Agile process and principles ( SAFE would be an advantage )
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build consensus across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to detail
