Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.


GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing.

Data teamis tasked with ensuring the day-to-day analytics and reporting activities are delivered quickly and to stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Data analytics, reporting and visualization
  • Automation
  • Exploratory data analysis for rootcause explanations to answer the pre/post "why" questions

Responsibilities:


  • Partnering with onshore team to drive projects
  • Perform in depth analysis to resolve business problem by employing the appropriate tools
  • Identify new opportunities to bring new process improvements
  • Communicate data findings through engaging stories that are easy to understand
  • Quickly assesses the big picture in complex situations and identify what is critical
  • Routinely make decisions for best course of action and to drive business solutions
  • Support internal and external processes and workflows, suggest improvements based on data analysis and provide insights into the enterprise operations
  • Work with business domain experts to identify data relevant for analysis
  • Develop new analytical methods and/or tools as required
  • Adhere to change control and testing processes for modifications to analytical models
  • Collaborate with unit managers, end users, development staff, and other stakeholders to integrate data mining results with existing systems
  • Extract reports/ data, analyze and provide recommendations for the project undertaken
  • Respond to and resolve data mining performance issues. Monitor data mining system performance and implement efficiency improvements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of hands on experience for data pull using SQL/HQL, delivering reports and insights, data analytics inference, and visualizations (good to have) to communicate with partners and stakeholders
  • 3+ Years of handson experience in Big Data Hadoop and Hive/Impala.
  • 3+ Years of handson experience in SQL/HQL.
  • Knowledge in Alteryx or other ETL related technologies is good to have.
  • Knowledge in Tableau or other reporting related tools/technologies is good to have.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand business usecases and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
