About The Team You Are Joining:

OLIVER is looking to recruit a
CGI Data Model Artist to work with our offshore teams as a dedicated team member, on a long-term basis.

The role is fast paced and responsive, working across multiple projects within the organisation.

Experience working with large data sets will be preferable.

Knowledge of
CGI Materials /
CGI Shader creation (which includes PBR workflows) is preferred.

Experience (and an interest) in working with Automotive data sets will be beneficial.

The primary role demands the use of industry standard 3D software, which will be used to convert and prepare our client's CAD data and build fully configurable 3d digital models.

Fine soft-surface details will need to be added and created based on references, including soft organic surfaces. The final models will be used to create industry-leading branded content, and visual marketing material.

A solid understanding of CAD (IGES/NURBS) > Polygonal format is essential, in addition to a demonstratable, hands-on knowledge of an industry leading 3d software package (i.e.

3DS MAX / Maya).

What you will be doing:

Be able to prepare 3D models from native CAD Data (IGES/NURBS) and deliver a model to project requirements. For example, CAD conversion to 3dsMax.

Create 3d Models from scratch, including both hard and soft surfaces (such as cloth, fabric, stitching) whilst being able to successfully depict the physical characteristics and nuances accurately from references.

Understand, follow, and contribute to modelling production workflows and procedures, ensuring all assets meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Collaboration with global teams, with a focus on asset creation.

Support Project Leads, ensuring assets are built to the desired specification and delivered on time.

Ensure quality and consistency is met and that all creative output meets the highest standards.

Work with Project Leads to achieve daily/weekly milestones.

Troubleshooting both autonomously and as part of a team.

Train / support new members of the team as the department grows.

Receive and provide constructive feedback in a positive way.

Understand, follow, and contribute to production workflows and procedures.

Consistently share knowledge at team meetings and participate in the continual development of the
CGI Studio.

Proactively develop your own technical skills and understanding, to contribute towards the overall efficiency and innovation of the
CGI Studio.

Maintain brand custodianship.

Have a good
CGI generalist knowledge.

Bring a "can do", team focused attitude.

Experience & Skills:

Experience in previous or comparable position

Strong understanding of CAD / Data prep / Asset building processes (A/B surface separation, Tessellation, Optimisation + File Structuring).

Ability to work in a well-structured, organised manner.

Strong working knowledge of industry standard 3D software (3dsMax and/or Maya).

Relevant degree or diploma in the
CGI industry, related to 2D/3D disciplines or demonstrable industry experience in a previous / similar role.
