Product Owner - Research Distribution Technology

Responsibilities:


  • Works very closely with Product Management understanding vision and strategy for next quarter
  • Works closely with Engineering Lead to understand engineering roadmap
  • Ensure business value is clear and agree measures of success
  • Defines and agrees MVP with Product Manager, this is not just functional requirements, but also how the product will be tested, measured, monitored and supported
  • Initial engagement with Pilot Users to agree scope and success criteria of the pilot are defined
  • Owns the 'Definition of Done' needs to evaluate if we can deliver sufficient additional value, compared to other items on the backlog and ultimately accepts completed user stories
  • Sets priorities/goals for the iteration
  • Owns resolution of daily scope/product requirements blockers for the delivery team
  • Regular Demo's to users to ensure Product is understood and meets initial/ongoing objectives
  • In partnership with the Product Managers ensure that sufficient training and/or training materials are available for a successful Product launch
  • Obsess over metrics, are we meeting the success criteria, if not, understand why and ascertain a path to success
  • Accountable to the Delivery lead and focus on the Portfolio delivery plan

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years as a Product Owner
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentations skills targeting various stakeholders and senior management
  • Proven track record of Coaching teams through agile practices and new ways of working
  • Proven experience and understanding of the software delivery life cycle
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detailoriented, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • A driving mindset and positive attitude in the face of many challenging deliveries
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across lines of business to achieve goals
  • Proven ability to achieve quality results in a highpressure, rapidly changing environment requiring flexibility / adaptability to changeable directives

Desirable Experience

  • Recognized Agile or Scrum certifications
  • Experience working with both Software Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Hands on experience with Adobe Experience Manager and/or Adobe Analytics/equivalent e.g. Google Analytics
  • Overall understanding of Java, Spring-Boot and React technologies used by software development teams
