Description
A cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases and handling payments at a retail or service establishment. This includes scanning items, collecting payment, making change, and providing receipts.Cashiers are also expected to provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving complaints, and directing customers to products or services.
Other duties may include stocking shelves, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and reconciling cash drawers at the end of a shift.
