Logistics Executive

Responsibilities:

Transport Coordination:
Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound and outbound shipments of building materials to various destinations.
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth transportation and timely deliveries.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of building materials and liaise with the procurement team to maintain optimal stock levels.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to manage storage, distribution, and order fulfillment.

Transportation Optimization:
Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.

Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare shipping documentation, including tax invoices, delivery challans, packing list.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics-related data.
Provide regular reports on logistics performance and key metrics.

Customer Service:
Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to address logistics-related inquiries and concerns.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information about shipment statuses.

Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Implement corrective actions to prevent similar issues in the future.

Cost Management:
Monitor logistics expenses and work to optimize transportation and operational costs.
Participate in budget planning and cost reduction initiatives.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to transportation, customs, and safety.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations, preferably within the building material or construction industry.
Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Problemsolving skills to address unexpected challenges.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs procedures.
