Job Description:

Position Summary

Development and planning of all maintenance activities to ensure that the equipment is managed in an efficient manner and is its availability and reliability support for daily operational requirements.

Duties / Responsibilities (Brief/Indicative)

Plan the maintenance activities with Maintenance Manager well in advance and control the Inventory.
Creates and maintains the maintenance backlog from all sources of data by raising WO's for all equipment defects discovered.
Review of EAM and Analysis of Asset wise OEE.
Executing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the budget.
Performs FMEA analysis of all equipment with assistance from Operations and Maintenance.
Obtains list of necessary parts for repair jobs from Maintenance.
Provides assistance to maintenance personnel in obtaining technical information needed to complete repairs.
Develops weekly maintenance plan one week in advance of work being started and submits to operations and maintenance for review the preceding week.
Maintains and updates the component tracking system data base for all machines.
Provides computer and oracle support to Managers as needed to develop reports and other data necessary to manage the equipment and fleet.
Production of periodical KPI's for OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Mechanical Availability, Equipment Utilization, etc. for review with the site leadership to determine trends and anomalies (including interpretation of the data and explains exceptions to expected results).
Other jobs as assigned / required to be performed.

The incumbent will report to Senior Manager - Maintenance. The incumbent shall also participate in core maintenance activities as needed.

Qualifications:

Education - Should be a Mechanical Engineering Graduate

Experience - Should possess minimum of 5 years' experience - preferably in any steel or ferrochrome manufacturing / processing plant maintenance planning activities.

Knowledge, Abilities and Other Requirements

Knowledge in maintenance planning activities covering both fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment.
Experience in the use of computerised maintenance management systems such as EAM of Oracle, JD Edwards or SAP.
