Job Description:


  • The Vendor Master Data team plays a critical role in the Purchasing, Operations, Supply chain of John Crane. Job requires working in Central Data Team under Vendor Master Team.
Duties & Responsibilities


Responsibilities:


  • Create Vendor Master data as per the VMD process.
  • Coordinate with the stake holder/requestor for clarification in creating data.
  • Create Vendor in MDM syndicate to MFGPRO
  • QAD / SAP.
  • Extend Vendors to required company codes.
  • Create Vendor Bank Data in SAP.
  • Distribute the Vendors in MDM to appropriate ERP system.
  • Run Data validation procedure, verify and correct the Vendor master data as appropriate.
  • Validate Vendor Documents for Vendor creation to ensure MFGPRO-QAD is in line with VMD process & Policies.
  • Record errors and update the learning to Knowledge base to aid team training and reference.
  • Develop corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence of errors.
  • Work along with the Sr. team members to review and update the recommended changes to the Vendor master.
  • To communicate effectively with the team on all aspects of job loading, completion.
  • Collectively work with the other team members to meet the objectives set for the team.
  • Coordinate with the buyers and supplying sister company.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and implement important initiatives.
  • Be always an effective team player.
  • The ability to multitask effectively.
The Individual


Skills and Experience:

  • He/she will provide technical support to complete all outstanding Vendor master data requests and help the team in daytoday activities.
  • Graduate / Diploma in any bachelor's degree with relevant experience can be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience on SAP /or 1+ years of experience in Vendor Master SAP with Finance & Banking background will be added advantage.
  • Should be good to interact with International Stake holders & internal customers.
