Your challenge, if you wish to accept it, will be to create innovative and sound instructional materials that improve and support the performance of the organization, and enable growth.

You will work with the Learning and Development team of Johnson Controls to design and create Instructional Design solutions in collaboration with senior team members, other Instructional Designers (IDs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), media developers, and Quality Analysts (QAs).


How you will do it

  • Adhere to training development guidelines and formats to create quality training deliverables which may include ILTs, Instructor Guides, Practice Guides, Job Aids, Quick Reference Guides, Assessments, Quizzes, and Exercises
  • Identify Oracle data for creating Practice Guides and Exercises
  • Collaborate with Global Organization Change Management Team, Indian Business Centre, and Project team members to validate training exercise data in the environment and identify Oracle data as needed, and finalize the content
  • Develop training with an emphasis on innovative learning and performance support that could be used globally
  • Quickly and effectively edit training content to meet expected deadlines
  • Analyze learning outcomes and work with SMEs globally to design instructional solutions that align with business requirements
  • Be willing to learn more about Oracle, beyond their existing domain knowledge
  • Be fluent and engaging in communication skills
  • Develop innovative ideas for instructional design & storyboarding for various learning modes and learning styles
  • Work effectively with colleagues to help the production team to create compelling and engaging deliverables
  • Plan internal reviews and subsequent updates of IDD and storyboards
  • Use appropriate writing styles to make content easy to understand for the target audience
  • Discuss ideas for images, graphics, and animations with a senior team member before specifying them for development
  • Produce wellwritten audio and video scripts to produce highquality course assets
  • Communicate effectively with the development team
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle
  • Plan your time effectively and work with senior team members to ensure you can meet deadlines on multiple projects
  • Be responsible for designing mockups and prototypes to serve the requirements of storyboarding & eLearning product development
  • Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub (LXP), LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn (video streaming service)
  • Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies

What we look for
-
Experience:

  • 510 years of experience in SAP ERP training development, delivery, or instructional design experience (within project consulting)
  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and storyboarding, working for the Training & eLearning industry
  • At least 12 years of experience in stakeholder communication

Education:


  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Education or Graduate or PG from a recognized university
  • Demonstrates certain levels of proficiency in evaluations, Kirkpatrick model, Philips ROI model, ADDIE, Agile, cultural, and regional adjustments, change management, and adult learning theory
