Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the design team:

Assist the interior designers in various stages of the design process, including conceptualisation, space planning, material selection, and furniture arrangement.

Research and gather information:
Conduct research on design trends, materials, and products to support the development of design concepts. Collect samples, catalogues, and other resources for reference.

Assist in creating design presentations:

Contribute to the preparation of design presentations by creating mood boards, 3D renderings, sketches, and other visual materials to effectively communicate design ideas to clients.

Drafting and documentation:
Assist in creating detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in measurements, specifications, and annotations.

Material sourcing and coordination:

Help in sourcing and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to gather information, request quotes, and track orders for materials, furnishings, and accessories.

On-site visits and project support: Accompany the design team on site visits to observe ongoing projects, take measurements, and assist in project coordination.

Help with organizing project files, maintaining sample libraries, and updating project schedules.

Administrative tasks:
Support the design team with administrative tasks, such as organizing documents, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project records.

Stay updated with industry trends:

Keep abreast of the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies through research, attending industry events, and participating in training programs.

Qualifications:

Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant coursework or specialization in interior design is preferred.

Software proficiency:
Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other CAD programs is desirable. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign is a plus.

Creativity and design skills:
Strong creative thinking abilities and an eye for aesthetics. Ability to translate conceptual ideas into visual representations.

Attention to detail:
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and precision in measurements, specifications, and documentation.

Communication and collaboration:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, take feedback, and contribute to discussions.

Time management:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of materials and products:
Familiarity with a variety of materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories used in interior design. Awareness of sustainable design practices is a plus.

Portfolio:
A portfolio showcasing your design projects, sketches, or any relevant creative work is highly recommended.
