Introduction:


AVP- Data Insights and Reporting position is an integral part of Barclays Global Chief Control Office responsible for maintaining and enhancing an effective Management Information and Reporting proposition through automation, data insight and visualisation which meets the business needs and regulatory requirements of the bank and also to deliver upon our core values and commitments to all of our stakeholders, keeping Barclays 'Mindset' at fore, always.


The role holder will support line VP and partner with Barclays' various businesses and functions and work closely with the associated chief control officer(s) and their team(s) across the globe to deliver value-adding data insights for a range of stakeholders, customers and governance reporting fora.

The role holder will also be responsible to owing the Controls data insights/dashboard production responsibilities.


Role holders will be responsible for conceptualising, executing and driving strategically for sourcing, collating, validating, producing and publishing the Controls data insights/dashboards for CCO leveraging the golden source.

Role holder will also be responsible for the safekeeping of all the data, data model and analytical tools supporting the production.

In addition to the Controls data insights/dashboards, there are numerous ad-hoc requests for data analysis or specific reports for Senior Stakeholders that must also be produced.

Role holder will also require to participate in various Data and Control Governance forums to provide input as well as take actions back to their area.

What will you be doing?


Management Information & Reporting (70%):

ï'- Develop and deliver best in class data analytics and business intelligence products (using advance data analytics tools and techniques e.g. Python, Tableau, Language Processing, Structured Query, etc.) to enable stakeholders to make informed business decisions.

ï'- Work collaboratively with CCO Governance & Controls Business Partner teams to deliver against the MI & Reporting strategy for the business.

ï'- Work collaboratively to produce clear, consistent, robust and value-adding data insights/dashboards capability, leveraging all stakeholder requirements.
ï'- Ensure consistent data insights/dashboards & Reporting insights quality is delivered.

ï'- Act as the overall quality assessor of all data insights/dashboards & reporting products published to the role holder's business(es) or function(s).

ï'- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in data insights/dashboards practice products and overall proposition, both with allocated regional business/function and cross-firm.

ï'- Act as principle point of contact for allocated regional business/function for all data insights/dashboards practice enquiries and requirements.
ï'- Co-ordinate, monitor, review and report on regulatory engagement.

Operational Risk & Control Data Management (30%)


ï'- Maintain and support Operational Risk & Control data requirement and its compliance with Group Data Management Policy and Standards (GDMS) and Controls MI & Reporting Standard requirements through development and operation of data structure, data enhancements including compliance with governance and control requirements.

ï'- Development and oversight of domain's data requirements, authoritative data sources, lineage and metadata management to support reporting requirement with structured and unstructured data sources using RDMS Concepts, ETL, Language Processing, Structured Query, etc.


What we're looking for:

ï'- Graduate in any discipline
ï'- Experience in Controls, Governance, Reporting and Risk Management preferably in a financial services organisation
ï'- Excellent skills in data analysis using structured and unstructured data, generating key Insights and automation

ï'- Good hands-on experience on tools like MS Excel, Access, working with databases, creating advance and interactive visualisation using Tableau (including Tableau Prep).

ï'- Good knowledge of MS Office, Visual Studio, SharePoint and Data Management
ï'- Knowledge of Power BI & SQL, R, Language Processing
ï'- Comprehensive understanding of Risk, Governance and Control Frameworks and Processes
