We are currently looking for a Jr. Copyeditor Intern with the following


About the Job role:
A Copy Editor's responsibilities include proofreading, editing, and working with writers to deliver quality content.

Ultimately, you will work with a team of writers and designers to ensure our content meets our brand's guidelines and that all copy is accurate and free of grammatical errors.

Experience:


Fresher/1 Year

Compensation: 15000/Month

Key Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Read and evaluate written text for grammatical and typographical errors
  • Liaise with writers and editors to determine the composition of specific texts in a document
  • Compare typeset proofs against client-given guidelines to identify errors or omissions
  • Evaluate the dimensions of page elements such as images, text spacing, and positioning to ensure they conform to set specifications
  • Ensure page numbers are in the correct order and not repeated or omitted
  • Mark corrections highlighted by editors/authors and ensure they reflect on the master set proof
  • Rephrase written text to ensure document structure and content are consistent
  • Ensure illustrations are suitably captioned and referenced
  • Contact authors directly to clarify grammatical inconsistencies related to style and text choice
  • Forward proofread materials for approval

Eligibility Criteria:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, journalism, mass communication, or a related field
2. 6 months - 1 year of experience proofreading or editing written content (preferred)


  • Knowledge of standard proofreading practices, procedures, and concepts

Job Types:
