Responsibilities:

Curriculum Implementation: Implement a developmentally appropriate and engaging curriculum that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children.

Lesson Planning: Plan and prepare daily age-appropriate activities, lessons, and experiences that stimulate children's curiosity, creativity, and love for learning.

Child Supervision: Supervise children in the classroom, playground, and during activities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive behavior management.

Individualized Learning: Differentiate instruction and activities to meet the diverse needs, interests, and developmental levels of individual children, including those with special needs or English language learners.

Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns or achievements, fostering positive relationships and collaboration.

Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a structured and organized classroom environment that promotes independence, cooperation, and respect among children.

Assessment and Documentation: Assess children's learning and development through observation, anecdotal records, and formal assessments, documenting their progress and milestones.

Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills, stay current with best practices, and contribute to ongoing program improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Associate's degree or CDA may be considered with relevant experience).
Previous experience working with preschoolaged children in a childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles, developmentally appropriate practices, and early learning standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to pass background checks required by state licensing regulations.
